The
Society is a non-profit organisation dependent
on the work and contributions of dedicated volunteer
members to succeed.
The railway is currently running
trolley trains from Healesville to Tunnel Hill,
crossing the Watts River, under the Donovan's
Road
overbridge and through the historic tunnel at

Heavy Rollingstock Operator Accreditation The YVR has recently obtained
Accreditation as a Heavy Rollingstock Operator
allowing us to operate works trains on our railway.
On
Saturday the 24/5/08, the YVR operated a ballast
train to and from the Watts River Bridge.
This train was the first train to run outside
station limits at the YVR for well over 10
years.
The Society welcomes anyone who is interested
in participating in one of our exciting projects
to restore the Yarra Valley Railway to be Australia's
Premier Broad Gauge Railway.
